SMALL BY DESIGN.

EXPERIENCED BY NATURE.

At treadsocial, clients work directly with experienced people who do the thinking, strategizing, and creating. No layers of account teams or handoffs to junior staff. Instead, every client receives the attention, responsiveness, and continuity that comes from working with a dedicated, experienced team.

We know our clients. We know their businesses. And because we’re nimble, we can respond quickly when priorities change, opportunities arise, or something simply needs to get done.

Our approach is personal and collaborative, but backed by decades of professional experience. We become an extension of our clients’ teams—bringing fresh perspective, sound strategy, and the ability to roll up our sleeves and execute.

Because great marketing doesn’t require a big agency. It requires the right people paying attention.

GRETCHEN SCHNEIDER

With more than 20 years of experience in journalism, public relations, marketing and digital media, Gretchen has spent her career figuring out the best way to tell a story—and then finding the right place to tell it.

Her work spans social media strategy and management, content development, copywriting and integrated marketing. She has developed and managed digital campaigns for municipalities, retail destinations, lifestyle brands, cultural organizations, senior living communities and businesses across a wide range of industries.

A writer at heart, Gretchen brings a journalist’s curiosity and a marketer’s perspective to her work. She believes the strongest content starts with understanding the audience, finding what’s genuinely interesting, and communicating it in a way that feels natural to the brand.

Gretchen earned her B.A. in Journalism from The Ohio State University’s School of Communication, with minors in English and Italian. She was also selected for the Kiplinger Fellowship, a program that helps journalists explore new approaches to storytelling.

Her fascination with digital culture has occasionally led to some unusual side projects. She created canadiantux.com, a celebration of denim-on-denim that landed on the front page of The Wall Street Journal, and isawjesusinLA.com, documenting a beloved Los Angeles personality known for roaming the city dressed as Jesus. She has also served as a lead interactive host for TEDxGoldstar, worked as a featured blogger for Dodge, and partnered with national consumer brands.

Outside of work, Gretchen enjoys family time, cooking, discovering new music, traveling, yoga, and gardening.
